A look at Thursday’s weather by Environment Canada.
It’s 11 C at the Edmonton Blatchford weather station with 5 km/h winds out of the east southeast.
It’s officially summer, Edmonton!
Or rather, it’s officially summer in Edmonton, which means the sunshine will be muddled by cloudy skies and chances of rain.
Thursday’s forecast, for example, is a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon, all with a high of 22 C. Those showers will persist into the evening before clearing overnight. Despite a high of 24 C, Friday will bring with it another 30 per cent chance of showers, and this time with a risk of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

All that said, I doubt any showers or thunderstorms could keep die-hard Oilers fans from going to the watch party on Friday!
