A look at Thursday’s Edmonton Weather from Environment Canada.
It’s 9 C at the Edmonton Blatchford weather station with 9 km/h winds out of the west southwest.
Even though I write weather reports on an almost daily basis, last night’s severe thunderstorm and overnight showers were a surprise.
The showers and light(ning) show are forecasted to continue until early Thursday morning after about 10 mm – 15 mm of rainfall, with winds gusting to 50 km/h throughout the day and a high of 16 C. The winds will settle to 20 km/h overnight before climbing right back up to 50 km/h on Wednesday, with a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day with a high of 20 C.
